Rosebery Primary School is a large urban primary school in Palmerston with approximately 560 students from Preschool to Year 6. We are under an enrolment management plan where we take enrolments from our priority areas of Rosebery and Bellamack.
We believe strongly in acknowledging the language and culture of our Indigenous students who represent around 10% of our enrolment and the approximately 34% of our students who speak English as an additional language. Around 30% of our students are also from actively serving Australian Defence Force families and we are also mindful to cater specifically for their unique needs and circumstances.
At Rosebery Primary School we pride ourselves on being connected with our community. We are a well-equipped school with support for our families in our immediate area through the programs we offer. Our Defence Mentor connects with families and builds strong relationships with students, with have strong intervention programs in place for students who require support for learning and a major emphasis on the Performing Arts and Wellbeing. At our school we focus on the child as a learner through our collaborative practices, play-based approach to learning in the Early Years and our Inquiry Approach in Primary Years. We are architecturally designed for co-teaching and we pride ourselves on our collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
